Welcome to My New Blogging Experiment: GAFE is Finally Here!

I am especially excited to begin this new blogging experience as it is a sign that we are taking another leap forward in the school district where I work. I have been an advocate for the meaningful application of digital technologies in the classroom and across school systems. Through providing necessary tools and opportunities to learn (for both staff and students) we can transform what learning looks like in today's world.

We are living digital lives; lives where we are constantly connected. Our schools need to be connected as well. Google Apps for Education (GAFE) is a powerful suite of tools which create a network of platforms for students and staff to communicate, create, research, and share throughout the process of learning.

The implementation of GAFE continues to be a lengthy process for us. With many forward-thinking and persistent educators on our variety of technology committees, we were successful in the goal of acquiring this powerful menu of tools. With the suite in the system and a progressive leadership team collaborating to ensure successful implementation, I am optimistic we are headed the right direction.

As an instructional coach, I will support teachers as they prove the value of the investment in both time and resources necessary for success. I hope you will consider following my journey.

My go-to resources:

I have created a Pinterest Board to curate resources for GAFE including creative ideas and or professional development resources. Help me! What should I add?
